Dr. Lisa Raymond

I understand first-hand how the barrier many face between fear, knowing, and doing can feel overwhelming.  At one time or another, we have all engaged in self-sabotage, been harsh and critical of ourselves, and allowed stress to hold us back from moving past our fears and achieving our goals, leaving us stuck in the moment. Realize that with work, you can get past this 'stuck' feeling.

I have over thirty years of experience in Human Resources and have been a business owner since 1998. I am the author of It's Your Job (2012) a quick tip guide for those entering the job market or brushing up on skills, and the co-author of Defining Young Leaders, The 90% they don't see (with Deion Turman, 2020). I am an adjunct professor where my classes include: Intercultural Communications, Public Speaking and Persuasion, Professional Communications, International Business, Reputation Management, Public Relations, Fundamentals of Information Technology, and Social Responsibility. I also work with individuals and groups on Diversity and Inclusion, Career Development, Grief and Self-Care. I have a Doctorate in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris, Thesis: Bias During Cyber-Vetting Using Social Media and online Searches (2019). I received my Master's Degree in Leadership Business and Global Ethics from Duquesne University. I am a certified Life Coach, trained under Anthony Robbins and have certification from the Robbins-Madanes Coach Training for Strategic Intervention.

I believe that communication should be the driving force that enhances not only organizational relationships but also personal ones. As an educator, I strive to empower individuals to be more authentic with themselves by enhancing their communication skills in relationships, promoting career development, and fostering anger management.  By starting with the core approach of teaching self-worth, confidence, accountability, and empathy, individuals can utilize these transferable skills when communicating with others in business and personal relationships.

As an empowerment specialist, I serve as a liaison between insights and implementation, helping to create a plan and reach the goal. From start to finish, I strive to inspire others through motivational 'boosts' that help them overcome obstacles through empathy, positive communication, self-love, and active participation and engagement.
